Puppy Training

How to Make the Transition from Littermates to Housemates

When getting a new puppy, we often imagine snuggling with them and enjoying adorable playtime shenanigans.

But as precious as they are, our new puppies also gnaw at our arms and paw at our legs. Having puppies in the house also means cleaning up after them–poop and all–and waking up to constant howling and crying at night.

We can help resolve these unwanted behaviors and get you the puppy of your dreams. We’ll work with you and ease the transition from them being surrounded by their littermates to housebreaking them so you can live with your puppy peacefully.

Our AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Group Class is a great way for you and your pup to learn together! Classes are offered from March - September. Contact us to find out when is the next class starting!

Our Puppy Training Program includes:

In-Home Training

Let’s get your home set up for puppy success!

In-home dog training can start either before or after you bring your puppy home. We can come to your home so they can stay in a safe environment, reducing the risk of infection for your unvaccinated puppy.

After your pup gets their second Distemper and Bordetella vaccinations, it would be safe for them to begin socializing and going on trips.

One on One Lessons

One of our trainers will directly handle your puppy at home, giving them extra attention and support to help them develop good habits. This will give them a solid foundation for basic obedience training.

One on One Lessons typically come in four Private Lessons, with the first lesson lasting an hour while the rest lasting 30 minutes each.

Day & Train

Our Day & Train program for puppies provides obedience training, structured play, and excise for your puppy in a safe, controlled environment. Both the Trainer and Owners would play an important role in reinforcing good behavior in order to get rewarding results. Under our program, your puppy will learn to pay attention to you even in a distracting or busy environment.

Day & Train will also familiarize your pup with our facilities and staff. This can help make your puppy’s stay with us less stressful if you’re interested in enrolling them in our Board & Train program.

Day & Train normally lasts between three to six months, depending on your goals. Puppies may come once a week or up to three times a week at your convenience.
